These novelty salt and pepper nodders are from Empress made in Japan circa 1960s. It features two hand painted porcelain pheasants that fit into the holes on top of the base. The pheasants have flanges on each side allowing them to bob back and forth. Salt and Pepper are written in metallic gold and both shakers still have their original cork stopper. This set is in very good vintage condition and will make a fun and kitschy addition to a to a tabletop, cottage, cabin or collection.
